Nanotechnology Lab LTFN successfully participated at the exciting event of Emerging Technologies 2018. Here are some photos/highlights from the exhibition area.
Nanotechnology Lab - LTFN, as a Digital Innovation Hub established in the European Catalogue of DIHs, participated in the "Digital Innovation Hubs 1st Working Group Meeting" on 22nd of January organized by DG CONNECT.
The scope of the meeting was the sharing of best practices in motivating SMEs to engage with DIHs towards their digital transformation. Collaboration among the DIHs and regional support were two of the main conclusions.

Nanotechnology Lab LTFN will participate at Emerging Technologies 2018, on 24-26 Jan. 2018, at Shangai, China. The conference is composed of four themes: "2nd Printed and Flexible Electronics China 2018", "7th China International OLEDs Summit", "3rd China International Quantum Dots Summit", and "Vehicle Display China 2018". The Honorary Ceremony "Greece-China: Meeting of two Civilizations in Philosophy and Sciences" took place successfully on Wednesday 13th of December at the Faculty of Philosophy at AUTh.
The Dean of the Faculty of Sciences of AUTh, Prof. C. Chintiroglou, the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy of AUTh, Prof. D. Mavroskoufis, and the Director of the Nanotechnology Lab- LTFN, Prof. S. Logothetidis organized the event, while Dr. of Political and Social Sciences Christos Kafteranis and Professor of Biomechanics & Biomedical Engineering at University of Patras, Greece, Yannis Misirlis were the two ceremony speakers.

On the occasion of the Greece - China 2017 Year, Year of Cultural Exchanges and cooperation of Creative Industries between the two countries, the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), Professor Chariton-Sarl Chintiroglou, the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy of AUTh, Professor Dimitrios Mavroskoufis, and the Director of the Nanotechnology Lab- LTFN of the Physics Department of AUTh, Professor Stergios Logothetidis are inviting you to the Honorary Ceremony titled: "Greece-China: Meeting of two Civilizations in Philosophy and Sciences".
The Ceremony will take place on Wednesday the 13th of December at 16:00 at the Ceremony Hall in the Old Building of the Faculty of Philosophy at AUTh.
One of the Ceremony speakers will be Dr. of Political and Social Sciences Christos Kafteranis, author of the book "Li Ki", which is the translation in Greek of the ritual and rites of the society and state in Ancient China, who is going to present the philosophical and political thinking in Ancient China and the parallel routes of 10 eminent philosophers of Ancient Greece and Ancient China, also the main theme of his new book.
From the perspective of Sciences, Professor of Biomechanics & Biomedical Engineering at University of Patras, Greece, Yannis Misirlis, who holds a yearlong collaboration with Professor Jiang Chang from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai, will reveal the significance of Biomedical Technology and Medical Practices in Ancient Greece and Ancient China which developed almost at the same time.
The Ceremony is under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs.
Prof. Stergios Logothetidis was invited to present the success story of EU FP7 Smartonics Project at the 1st European Pilot Production, Network Workshop (EPPN). Nanotechnology Lab-LTFN was the Coordinator of Smartonics -one of the 3 best pilot lines in Europe – which has gained sustainability after its completion and is being cited for its impact and outreach.
Smartonics was awarded by the EU as the 1st Runner-Up at the Best Project Competition during EuroNanoForum 2017.

LTFN was present at ICT Proposers Day, which took place on 9 and 10 November in Budapest, Hungary. Dr. Argiris Laskarakis presented the expertise of the Nanotechnology Lab LTFN during the Electronic Smart Systems and Flexible & Wearable Electronics Session.
The Research Committee (Special Account for Research Funds) of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in the framework of the project “Smart in-line metrology and control for boosting the yield and quality of high-volume manufacturing of Organic Electronics (SmartLine)” funded under the Horizon 2020 Call FOF-08-2017 of European Commission, with Academic Head, Prof. Stergios Logothetidis, Professor of Physics, invites candidates to submit applications for three (3) positions (through the award of a work contract), until 31/08/2020 (and in the case of an extension of the project until its expiration with a corresponding adjustment of the amount) with a total anticipated remuneration 83.000,00 € (VAT and taxes included). Dimokratiki Symparataxi MP Giannis Maniatis visited the Center of Organic and Printed Electronics (COPE-H). During the day, visitors were informed on the innovative research and manufacturing taking place at the Center.

The SmartLine Project Press Conference, successfully took place at the Center of Organic & Printed Electronics in Thessaloniki on 3rd October 2017. Prof. S. Logothetidis, Director of Nanotechnology Lab LTFN, Dr. A. Laskarakis, Head of the Organic Electronics Group of Nanotechnology Lab LTFN, and Mr. V. Matskos, CEO of Organic Electronic Technologies provided the journalists with an overview and answers on the EU funded Project, which started in September 2017 and is about to optimize the manufacturing of Organic Electronics and shape the Digitization of Industry.

We are looking forward to meeting you during Graphene Week 2017. Moreover Nanotechnology Lab LTFN is participating with a Poster presentation: "Graphene Layers: Production, Characterization, Integration & Devices (EU FP7 Project GLADIATOR)"; the overview results of the GLADIATOR Project which finished successfully in April 2017.
Nanotechnology Lab LTFN was present at EUROMAT 2017, which is taking place in Thessaloniki, 17-22 Sep. 2017. In the photos you can find Researchers A.-R. Tsiapla and V. Mpakola during their oral presentations "Dual syringe drug delivery nanoscaffold for effective implantation in orthopaedic applications" and "Biomimic scaffold fabrication via dual syringe electrospinning system for dual drug eluting stents", respectively.
